Modular, Performance-Optimized
Cluster featuring Intel® Xeon®
Processor combined with NVIDIA®
Tesla™ 20-Series GPU technologies
| The amount of raw data
needed for computational analysis
and 3D visualization created
a huge demand for CPU/GPU
cluster deployments. With
the need of more performance
and memory capacity, Appro
introduces the Appro HyperPower
Blade Cluster offering a hybrid
modular architecture based
on the Appro
GreenBlade System. The
system offers performance
scalability, density and energy
efficiency at a competitive
price. Its core cluster components,
cooling fans, power supplies
and blade nodes, are hot-swappable
and redundant offering superior
reliability, availability
and serviceability. With 448
computing cores per GPU, C-language

largest GPU computing ISV development
community, the Appro HyperPower
Blade cluster allow scientific and
technical professionals the opportunity
to test and experiment their ability
to develop applications faster and
to deploy them across multiple generations
of processors.
The Appro HyperPower blade cluster
features 40 CPU blades based on
the Intel® Xeon® processor
5600 series combined with GPU expansion
blades based on NVIDIA® Tesla™
M2050 GPU cards onboard. It supports
up to 480 CPU and 35,840 GPU cores
delivering up to 82TF single/41TF
double precision GPU performance
in a standard 42U rack cabinet.
It offers green features such as
intelligent power control capabilities
to dynamically power down pairs
of GPUs to provide power savings
for thermal efficiency and system
reliability. Cluster configuration
offer integrated IPMI 2.0 remote
server management capabilities,
high-speed interconnect, cluster
compilers and management software
options and a choice of Linux or
Windows® operating systems.
All options can be easily configured
and pre-integrated as part of a
complete package to include HPC
professional services and support.
Ideal Environment:
Ideal customers are in
Energy and Government Research followed
by Bioinformatics and Finance industries
in HPC market looking to deploy
a scalable and reliable small to
mid-size GPU systems.
Installed Software
The Appro HyperPower is preconfigured
with the following software:
- Redhat Enterprise Linux 5.x,
64-bit
