    9/10/07 Appro Announces Support for Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ 2300 and 8300 Series Processors

Improved power efficiency at higher memory loads delivered to
high-performance computing markets

Milpitas, CA, September 10, 2007 – Appro (http://www.appro.com), a leading provider of high-performance enterprise computing systems, announces support for native Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ 2300 and 8300 Series processors in all of Appro’s systems including the HyperBlade cluster series and the XtremeServer and workstation series.

Appro servers and cluster solutions based on the new Quad-Core AMD Opteron processor (previously codenamed 'Barcelona') are designed to provide high performance, reliability, power efficiency, memory scalability, high bandwidth and low memory latency, delivering a validated optimized Appro solution to meet the demands of multi-core processing for high performance computing applications.
